I am a Member of the Youth Parliament (MYP) from Northern Ireland, and I need your help raise the money needed to attend the Youth Parliament's Annual Conference in Nottingham this July.

I should not have to be asking for the charity of strangers, but, sadly, this is the case. Funding is allocated to all of the English, Scottish and Welsh MYP's, yet is withheld for young people in Northern Ireland. We are being denied our voice in national politics, and you should not stand for it!

My name is Thomas Doris, and I am the MYP for Mid Ulster. I was elected to support agricultural and fishing families in my constituency, especially those with young people involved. I have tabled a motion at the Annual Conference to petition the British Government to match EU grants and subsidies to fishing and farming communities, especially those around the shores of Lough Neagh. Of course, this will be in vain if I am unable to attend the conference this July...

I thank you for taking the time to read this, and for contributing towards the £500 I need to cover flights, transport and accommodation to and from Nottingham this July.

If we are unfortunately unable to reach our goal, then I will try my best to make up the difference.

If I surpass the £500 needed, then I will donate the surplus to the BYC.
