Khamis has been working as a cleaner, washer man, labourer since he was a tiny six year old. Khamis never learnt to read or write, all he knows is to work relentlessly hard. He is the most modest, honest, honourable and trustworthy man. Now that he is older he still needs to earn a living to survive in Sudan. Washing clothes is a daily struggle, he is now developing arthiritis, and bending down and kneeling to clean floors causes him excruciating back pain. But he has to work to exist. I am saving to buy a tuk tuk which he can drive to support himself. I hope you can spare some change- this would be the best Christmas present ever for Khamis- and it will just show him that he is not and never will be invisible.
