"THE GIFT OF SIGHT AND VISION"

As millions are needlessly losing their sights in the developing world and especially in Africa because they cannot afford the basic cost of healthcare, Offa Descendants’ Union UK (ODUUK) (a non-political and non-religious community based organisation in the UK), is carrying out eye screening for ocular diseases and surgery for patients identified with cataract. Individuals identified with refractive errors will also be provided with prescription glasses in Offa, a cosmopolitan town in the North central region of Nigeria.

The Executive and Members of Offa Descendants’ Union UK (ODUUK), sincerely thank everyone who contributed to the success of the Sight and Vision Project in Offa in 2017. At the 2017 Project, ODUUK financed the eye screening of 534 patients through the donations received from our members and various people. Out of this number, 132 patients were identified with refractive errors and were provided with glasses, 124 were given eye drops and 87 cataract operations were carried out. This success is attributed to your donations and that of ODUUK members. We plan for a much bigger Project in 2018, and we once again appeal to you for your financial and moral supports to enable us achieve this objective.
