The rate of rhino poaching in South Africa is rapidly escalating, leaving behind many orphaned calves. This has created a real need for a facility that provides specialist care for the traumatized and injured infant rhinos.
More than 1,200 rhinos were illegally killed in 2014 in South Africa. If rates like this continue we would see a dramatic decline in the already vulnerable population.

This summer I will be volunteering at a rehabilitation centre for rhinos.
