🌸BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH🌸

I’m sure many of you are aware that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers, with 1 in 8 women developing the disease. This month alone approximately 5,000 peopl will receive the diagnosis and over 50,000 in a year. Most of us know a loved one, family member or friend, who is/has been affected by cancer.

I am putting gift bags together full of lovely products and treats, to be given to people receiving treatment or in recovery from breast cancer. I’m hoping that these gifts provide a moment of joy where individuals can feel pampered and special.

I would like to give out as many gift bags as possible, and I’m asking for your help to contribute towards these packs. Each gift pack will contain natural, high quality products, that are gentle on the skin along with some yummy chocolate and relaxing herbal tea!

Every gift pack costs £16 and no profit is made on this. I would like to put together at least 30 of these gifts to be given to individuals who access Bosom Friends and Coping with Cancer for support. Both of these charities provide reassurance, advice and a safe environment for people to share their concerns and support each other.

If you would like to contribute towards the gift bags any donations are hugely appreciated. I am also asking those people who contribute if they would like to write a letter to be included in the bags that the recipient can read. These could be poems, words of admiration or support, but ultimately will provide a positive and genuine moment for the person receiving the gift. People living with cancer are suffering physically, psychologically and emotionally and this impacts on their whole family and loved ones. It is my hope that our gift packages can support them through their journey to recovery.
