Story
The conviction of One Fine Day is that every child has creative potential worthy of expression. Their intention is to create year round workshops in Africa for the most vulnerable children to engage in.
One Fine Day teachers have been giving the children of the Kibera and Mathare slums in Narobi weekly classes in different art based subjects since 2007.
Their ballet and dance programmes are particularly successful and I hope to contribute to their continued success through my running and my dancing school's summer show.
In 2007 I ran the London Marathon and, 10 years later, I have decided to try the distance again but this time in Edinburgh (28th May). To aid my training I will be taking part in the Kingston Breakfast Run (16 miles) on 25th March.
My dancing school - Clifford Studios - will be putting on a show on 30th June/1st July and all proceeds from the 3 events will be going to One Fine Day.

7 years agoIt's all over! Managed in 5 hours 10 minutes which, if the memory serves, is 10 minutes FASTER than my 2007 London effort. I put it down to a) Pilates (seriously) and b) my excellent support team who were with me at miles 9, 20, 21 and 25.5ish. Miles 18 to 21 were bleak; heels dragging and sun beating down but the wall was smashed through and the end did eventually come. I'm planning to keep running half marathons and 10k's for the next few months but we have the small matter of our 'Myths, Monsters + Magic' production first! Xxx
