ON MY BACK. is a set up scheme with the hopes of becoming a charity, that provides clothing for the poor in our society. Bringing fresh, fabulous and funky designs to the UK. With profits from the affordable clothing we sell, we hope to provide vouchers that gives extra discounts and free clothing to the poorer in the UK.
The idea for this scheme came up when myself and a friend were living in our council properties, chatting about how we were going to afford Christmas. There is help out there when it comes to food banks and affordable housing all providing brand new products, but when it comes to clothing, the poor are expected to take second hand clothing. Why? Why should a person, because they are poor be expected to wear someone elses hand me downs, although a great way to recycle, and a great cause, what we are aiming for is for the individual to feel like they are worth, to look good is to feel good and this will reflect when going for job interviews, weddings, everyday.
You are able to make donations and be confident that with the profits from this small scheme we will provide discount vouchers and free clothing for families who are struggling to put clothes on their families backs, or the homeless for example who need to keep warm, fed up of wearing rags.
