Finola Forman is an ambitious, outgoing and spirited young lady from Leith, Edinburgh who loves music and art and who happens to have Cerebral Palsy.

And it's time for some new wheels!

We are fundraising to purchase a custom made electric wheelchair that will allow her the flexibility of walking on varied terrain (without tipping) with her Canine Partner dog, Orbit, and also to allow her to speak to people at their eye level – how fabulous would that be!

This new chair will also be able to tip, so taking pressure off her lower back when she gets tired and so gives her the ability to change position. Finola suffers from major scoliosis in her spine and is not able to sit unsupported and so positioning is crucial in order to prevent further damage.

By giving her the means to move herself it will give her a renewed sense of independence, letting her move where SHE wants to go rather than being pushed about all the time.

This year, our dedicated team of supporters are getting their wheels out to help us reach our goal! Team Finola will be riding Pedal for Scotland on Sunday 11th September 2016 from Glasgow to Edinburgh.
