The Overseas Plastic Surgery Appeal

Dear family and friends

As a child I have had the dream of becoming a plastic surgeon and the hard work has paid off as i have now had the rare chance to go to Pakistan with a group of plastic surgeons, who are apart of a charity called OPSA (Overseas Plastic Surgury Appeal). There I will see the reality in which many children are born with facial abnormailities and how we can help.

OPSA is a registered charity founded in 1998 by Mr Nick Hart (Consultant Plastic Surgeon) that provides many poor children with free surgical procedures. The team of plastic surgeons operate to correct facial abnormalities e.g. the cleft lip and palate.

The facial abnormalities have had devastating imapacts on the children lives. Living in poverty they do not have the resources to escape this. But under this organisation, with the help of these well trained and skilled doctors who specialise in this area, hopefully we can create a better future for the affected individuals.

I want to contribute to OPSA to help rectify the facial abnormailities sooner giving people the chance for a better life. None of this is possible without your support and donations.

On the 25st of March I will travel to Gujrat cleft hospital and watch the plastic surgeons as they operate on the poor children and bring back feedback on what your support and donations have helped on these children.

This is Aftab he was unfortuantely affected with a facial abnormalities and had to go through surgery here he is now all grown up and happy as never before.

This fundraiser is to pay for all the medical equipment used for each child, for the children and their familys its free but we need ur donations and support for the medical equipment used. For each surgery on one child it costs us £250 so we need ur help. Whether it’s £5 or £100, anything is better than nothing
