Hand written and hand strung crosses, marking the names and rank of each soldier, are festooned across the ceiling of Oscars cafe and wine bar in Holmfirth.

Steve Briddon(owner of Oscars along with his wife Fay) is a British Army veteran, he served in Afghanistan in 2009/2010 & was awarded a commanders commendation for bravery whilst on tour. The period of remembrance is very important to Steve and being a small business owner he wanted to do something to showcase our support in the best way he knew how. We would have loved to have written crosses for every soldier that has made the ultimate sacrifice for our country, but unfortunately our building just isn’t big enough.
