I share this story as I find myself in a very distressing situation. After being here in the UK for almost 10 years, I was refused a Visa to remain here any longer upon the decision of my last application. When my Visa was first issued 8 years ago, it was on the basis that I was in a Civil Partnership and also owned a business. Things change with time and both those situations have come to and end. When the Home Office went to review my situation, they refused my application since neither of those conditions still applied. Even after my Civil Partnership ended, I remained here in the UK when he moved to Ireland as I have to come to consider the UK my home. Friends and friends that have become family are here. My work and goals are here. My life is here.

It has been my thought for many years, that I would eventually apply for British Citizenship. My friends, family, passions, goals, work, aspirations lie almost entirely in this country that I have grown to love and feel connected to. I do hope you'll will consider my contribution to the lives and community that I have established over the last decade and the difficulties everyone would face if I was not allowed to stay.

I am currently working with an immigration firm in London specialising in Human Rights cases. While it is not cheap, I feel like it is my best option on having the opportunity to continue residing in England. We have submitted a new application that is full of detail outlining my case A best estimate on time as to how long this will take is approximately 6 months. Until my Visa is granted, I am unable to work, hence this humble request. My goal is to raise £12,000. 6 of which will be to pay for my legal fees and the remaining to keep me going for 6 months or so.
