    Story

    Help Moses!

On March 10th 2017 we were given a chance to meet Moses Kiwala, he runs a school in Uganda, giving opportunities for children to be educated when they might not have that chance.

But this school isn’t your ordinary school, the children here only get one school meal a week and most of the children’s parents have passed away due to diseases they cannot afford treatment for. Furthermore some of these children have to walk miles each day to get to school, some of these children are as young as five.

Due to religious reasons some of these children on the way to school get abducted and killed by ‘witch doctors’. Dead children are cut up into individual body parts and sold to people who believe children’s body parts will bring them health and wealth. Can you imagine that? All you want to do is walk to school for an education but you have to worry about getting killed on your way.

At Ovingham Middle School we want to contribute to Moses buying a second bus so these children will not be harmed on the way to school, although abducting is an immense issue, these children are also starving. As little as £50 would feed at least 600 children every day for a week at school. Not only do they have very little food they also have to drink out of a water hole in the ground; water that contains parasites and diseases. They have worked on a clean water project but this will not last forever they need access to clean water to guarantee a future.

We can’t physically look after them but we can help fund for them and make their lives just that little bit more comfortable.

They need us and they need our help.

Donate now to save a life.
