Story
I am cycling 100 miles in the Velo Birmingham on Sunday 24th September. I would like to raise £500 to support our dear friend who last year, at 32, was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease, a condition which gradually leads to weakening of all the muscles.
He now requires a wheelchair to get about. The NHS will fund a chair, however they cannot cover the full costs of all the accessories and servicing needed. It would be amazing to raise this amount to support our friend's comfort and mobility during this tough time, and to help make it easier for him to get out with his young son.

7 years agoThanks everyone so much for the generous sponsorship - it will be a fantastic support to our friend and young family. I completed the cycle in 7hrs 50mins, with a few pit stops for sandwiches and refuelling. A few pics to be posted shortly. Thanks again for the sponsorship - brilliant to have smashed the target!
