Snoopy came into our lives 11 years ago. He was lost and alone on the streets. He has been a very important being, not just to me but to the whole family. Snoopy comes with us everywhere and does everything with us, from hiking to spending the day on the river. He travels with us wherever we go!
We relocated from South Africa with Snoopy in February 2017. We haven’t had any problems with Snoopy until the beginning of December 2017.
Snoopy’s disc between his vertebra has become swollen and inflamed to the point that it is pressing down on his spinal cord resulting in him losing control of his back legs, difficulty in passing urin and stool. He is unable to walk properly or be stable.
We took Snoopy for an x-ray which showed that there was a problem with his spin but we needed to take him for an MRI with contrast followed by CT scan for us to fully understand what is wrong. The results showed that he needs to have Spinal Surgery – Vertebral Malformation Stabilisation. The surgeon needs to remove the disc that is pressing on his spinal cord and replace it with pins and cement. Leaving his condition will result in him being paralysed.
Since the beginning of December 2017, we have spent GBP 3600.00 to find out what is happening with our son. Finding out what the solution is to help him is not anything we can afford.
