Paige is a 21year old young lady, all she has ever wanted is to be a Mommy. Unfortunately this week paige has been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called trophoblastic choriocarcinoma of which has spread rapidly. It has so far been confirmed to be in Paiges womb both inside and out along with her pelvis and lungs. Doctors continue to run extensive tests to see if it has spread anywhere else.
This all started in September 2016when paige was just 19 she became pregnant with her first baby obviously very happy she and her partner attended their first scan only to be hit with the awful news that the baby could not be seen due to cancer cells taking over. Due to this Paige and Craig had lost their baby and Paige was to undergo surgery to remove the cancerous cells within her womb.
Paige should then of been referred to a specialist hospital in London to have the surgery take place unfortunately due to nhs funding and medical negligence the hospital decided against this and to do the surgery closer to home. Paige was then sent home to recover.
Paige had many problems after the surgery and she knew something was not right within her body and pleaded for help over the last 12 months but felt she had been fobbed off.
During the last 12 months Paige has had many positive pregnancy tests and been told when attending scans that she has miscarried each pregnancy.
Unfortunately this was not the case and this week paige rushed to the hospital in pain thinking she was having yet another miscarriage to be told they had found serious complications and she must go straight to the specialist hospital in London for further tests. When Paige arrived at the hospital in London she and her family heard the Dreaded words... That paige has actually got Cancer and has had cancer all along within her womb and has unfortunately spread. Now Paige is at the specialist hospital in London for extensive tests, intensive chemotherapy and may need surgery to remove her womb.
