I am currently on my year abroad studying in Oldenburg, Germany, and I would like to give something back.

More than a million refugees have now been welcomed to Germany but the migrant crisis is far from over. On 9th April I will be running the Paris Marathon to raise money for the work of the German Red Cross (GRC) which supports refugees both in Germany and abroad.

The GRC helps refugees living in Germany by providing emergency shelters and offering medical care, counselling, food and relief supplies. The GRC also works on the ground in Syria, alongside the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (one of the few organisations which still has access to conflict areas), administering hygiene kits, first aid and providing food and everyday necessities.

Since I am supporting a non-UK registered charity this is a crowdfunding campaign. After completing the marathon, I will donate all money raised to the GRC through the following link, specifically to the Flüchtlingshilfe project.
