I'm not really one for doing stuff like this at all so here goes... On the 10/06/2017 my father passed away in Pendleside Hospice. He was a resident there for 11 weeks and 1 day before his passing. I cannot stress enough what a brilliant job every single person does who is affiliated with the hospice. They go above and beyond their duties every single day to ensure every patients needs are catered for. Not only do they do this with unbelievable professionalism with the patients, but for the most part they became our friends. I have some wonderful memories from The Hospice, and from something that's meant to be a tragic situation, so to me that's invaluable. So for me this is a chance to say a small thank-you for everyone's efforts that were involved in caring for my Dad, and hopefully keep the ball rolling so somebody else who needs the care and support that my Dad received is able to have it. In my opinion The Hospice receives no where near as much financial support as it should off the Government. As such, to run, it relies on donations from us as a community. To do this, a team of us are going to complete Tough Mudder. Absolutely all donations of any size are welcome and please feel free to share this to give this amazing place the funds it deserves to continually help touch peoples lives.
