    Story

Having previously raised funds to support my volunteering in schools in rural areas of Eastern Europe to support students access formal education and to furthermore link those schools with similar schools in the West Midlands to foster postitve educational programs I would now like to now develop and create longer term opportunities for student & staff exchange program's to broaden and widen the understanding and knowledge of each other cultures.

This issue has become important to me through my teaching of many students who have relocated from Eastern Europe and Hungary in particular and who have faced many issues both financially & culturally in adapting when relocating to the UK and in the post Brexit landscape where funding to build school relationships is no longer available social enterprise programs like this are critically important.

I feel this social enterprise project and partnership‘s will foster greater and more harmonious links both here in the UK, and in European schools as I fully intend to share my experiences with colleagues and students alike.

All funding will support the visit to the schools and provide the students of the schools with invaluable resources they are desperately short of, it will also be used to connect the Hungarian school with local West Midlands schools.

The social enterprise project has been endorsed and supported by successive Mayor’s of Wolverhampton, has been reported in regional newspapers and magazines and reconigzed by the NASUWT for working and promoting international solidarity.
