The health services are very good at treating the immediate problems caused, but the long term consequences are often left to the survivor to deal with.

The battle to recover all previous abilities can be very difficult, but made easier with the assistance of specialist exercise sessions.

Carlisle Different Strokes Group is trying to organise such sessions and is desperate for sponsorship to cover the cost of exercise co-ordinators and hall hire, on an on-going basis.

It is important that we get this facility going as the next stroke victim could be you or some-one in your family!
