My local hospital have stopped treating patients who are suffering with chronic pain. You can have chronic pain from all sorts of medical problems and the Lidocaine is an infusion that can to most who receive it give great pain relief making each day so much better and feeling more relaxed and happier.
Due to goverment cutbacks to the nhs the hospital trusts have to spend their funds to the best advantage of the patients and Pain Relief sadly is not high on their agenda. This means that hundreds of patints at my local hospital are without the much needed Lidocaine as it can give such good relief to 90% of them. It makes life more worth living and makes you feel happier and enjoy each day of relief with a whole different outlook in life as Chronic Pain is so terrible to bare and changes the life of the patient so much sending them into deep depression and feeling useless. The treatment costs around £220 for a dose that normaly lasts between 4 and 6 weeks but many of us cannot afford that sort of money as we are on DLA or P.I.P benefits due to our individual illnesses and disabillities .Without the Lidocaine Infusion my life is hell 24 hours of daily chronic pain due to my spinal problems we are all and there are over 400 at my hospital in desperate need for the NHS and local hospital trusts to accept that this treatment is so important to so many people accross the country we are suffering in pain help us please.
I am asking for the money to finance a session at a local private clinic costing around £220 which would give me the much neede pain relief for around 6 weeks i have not asked for anymore than needed and if i am successful i can come back and hopefully apply for some more funding .
Thankyou in anticipation Paul True.
