Story
The Basildon Emergency Night Shelter (BENS) provides a safe place to sleep for those experiencing homelessness in Basildon. On the night of Friday 7 to Saturday 8 December 2018 I will be sleeping out to raise funds for BENS. My church, The Salvation Army in Basildon, host the shelter one night a week.
I am fortunate to be able to choose to do this in support of those who have no other option than to sleep rough. It is no exaggeration to say that shelters such as BENS save lives.
