For 12 years I have suffered from Crohns Disease... an invisible autoimmune disease that resulted in me having to lose my small intestine and live with an illeostomy bag for a period of my life. There is currently no cure for this disease and it affects so many people worldwide but hardly talked about because lets face it no one wants to talk about poo. I am grateful I was diagnosed with Crohns regardless of the intense pain because it made me realise what i value in life..... i appreciate the good days when I dont have to know the location of the toilets, the days when eating food doesn‘t feel like my intestines are literally going to explode, the days when i hate my scars and my family tell me im beautiful and I finally believe them.... Crohns has made me love life and to enjoy every moment of it regardless of how many organs I have to lose. The team who have looked after me for the last 12 years have and still are amazing and they deserve financial support so they can continue their fantastic work
