    Story

I am Paula Fletcher and I am losing my home not because I failed to pay my mortgage but because my son committed fraud against me and Santander Bank. My son borrowed £121000 and secured the loan against my home. He had asked me to lend him £30000 for a business and he would be getting a grant. So he could borrow the money I agreed to put my property in our names for the 3 months he had agreed it would take to repay me. My son was convicted of the fraud and given 40 months in prison. He was described by the press as “the world’s worst son” and Santander agreed in court that there were no attempts to tell me to get independent advice and this assisted my son to commit the fraud. I need help because I lost on a single point because my son had ticked a box on the document that put my home into our names. By ticking this box, it meant that I was jointly liable for the loan even though I had not received any independent advice and It was never my intention to make him a joint owner of my home. This is not only important for me because I will lose my home but it is also a very important point of law. The judge accepted that I never intended to allow my son to become a joint owner of the property. I don’t have the money for an appeal but the judge recognised that I had made an important point. It is rare for the judge to grant permission to appeal when he has written a detailed judgment. I ask the public to help me with the legal fees. I am in my mid-fifties, I thought I had secured my home which was mortgage free until this fraud. Now, I will be homeless and destitute because of the fraud. Even though Santander accepts that its staff did not activate their fraud alert I am left with the debt. Santander would have known that this was a fraud and would not have loaned my son the money. So, because a box on a form was ticked, Santander is taking my home from me. Please help me to save my home and show me the true spirit of Christmas thank you for reading my plea for help.

An Elderly lady gave me this money to add as she can't do technology. Please help Paula fund this cause to get a Barrister to save her Home before the Bank take it nothing she has done.
