Play therapy has been considered to be an established and popular mode of therapy for children for over sixty years. However, funding is often unavailable to support the service that it is offered to children and young people. Toys, games and craft materials can be expensive and are an essential tool in play therapy. And so therefore, many organisations and therapists rely on donations to help towards the cost of these. Many of the children and young people lead complex lives and are struggling with their mental health and emotional well being. Many who may have suffered trauma or abuse. Play therapy provides a way for them to express their experiences and feelings through a natural, self-guided, self-healing process. As children’s experiences and knowledge are often communicated through play, it becomes an important vehicle for them to know and accept themselves and others. In order to offer a service to help these children and young people more funds are needed. And so, I'm asking for anyone who can offer a donation to come forward and help me to support these children and young people, in order for them to heal and lead better lives.
