My grandson was diagnosed 18 months ago with ME/CFS . He has progressively got worse and needs a wheel chair.to get out. He is 16 years of age and cannot get out to see family or friends without someone accompanying him to push his present chair.. Jack suffers with excrutiating pain and debilating fatigue, depression and anxiety. An electric wheelchair will help him get out of the house when he can and not rely on family members. He can meet friends and go to the shop on his own. He hopefully will be able to do a few hours at college in September and the chair will give him the freedom to go on his own and be part of his peer group and get social inclusion.
His life is on hold without some independence and the chair would make an enormous impact to his life.
