Story
I first met Steve about 6 years ago while working on projects at Cranswick Foods.
Steve, you‘ve been taken away from us all far too soon, i‘m not sure how we‘re all going to manage now at Cranswick without you to rely on. We’re talking about a guy here who had time for and would help everyone.
All the engineering dept and contractors are going to miss him so much 🙏
I‘m searching my archives and I find lots of great memories between us, a strong commitment towards our respective football clubs and the banter that would arrise.
Steve was a bit of a worrier, he opened up to me a few times about things that would bother him, I’d tell him ‘that is not worth worrying about‘ it will sort itself out.......a few days later he‘d come to me and say cheers Pete, its all sorted now, nothing to worry about anymore.
No words will help at this sad time Sam but heartfelt condolences to you all.
A true legend who will be missed by us all.

3 years agoGood evening all, today 25th April we made the transaction of the proceeds of the just giving page set up in honour of our great friend Steve Chapman. The proceeds were today forwarded to Samantha Chapman’s bank account. This transaction was witnessed in person by George Dixon (KayGee) and Sam herself. The amount contributed by 113 donations was £5610, just giving charged 2.9% and £0.25p per transaction, these fees totalled £190.96 leaving £5419.04 This amount was transferred in full today.

3 years agoIt’s now just over a week since Steve’s funeral. With this in mind it’s a good time to close this fundraiser down and forward the proceeds to his family. I’d like to take the opportunity to thank everyone for their generous donations in memory of this great guy. I’ll be posting proof soon that the funds have been handed over to Sam in the near future.
