We invite you to sponsor a charity wing walk for the MS Society by Richard Medrington in memory of Howard Verco.

Alison Verco (formerly Murray) is one of the founding members of the Retford District MS Support Group and has lived with the condition for over 40 years. Her late husband and full-time carer Howard who was a long-time supporter of the group had previously done fire-walking and sky-diving to raise funds for people living with MS. Dubbed ‘daredevil pensioner’ by the Retford Times, Howard was a fit and healthy 90-year-old when he gamely signed up earlier this year to do a wing walk. Sadly, Howard died in July after a short illness a couple of months before he was due to take to the skies atop a Boeing Stearman biplane.

Alison's son-in-law Richard Medrington has bravely stepped up to take on this challenge not only in Howard’s memory but also to raise funds for our local MS Support Group.

Money that you donate towards this event, scheduled to take place near Cirencester on 4th September 2018, will help our group in so many ways: providing assistance towards specialised equipment, therapeutic activities and respite holidays or short breaks which are so important for recharging batteries and making memories. Our group also supports MS-related online groups and local helplines for people affected by the condition to get advice or just to offload without judgment.

Your donation, however small, will help local people stay as active as they possibly can and lead a full life with this complex chronic condition.
