Story
March the 22nd was a very tragic day, that has changed a lot of peoples lives. I found out recently that a good friend of mine and his wife were caught up in the horrific events of that day. Steve & Cara Lockwood had been celebrating Steve's 40th Birthday when he was hit by the car. He suffered terrible injuries, 3 days in a coma, 11 broken bones including two in his back, 3 in his eye socket, ribs and legs. His Wife suffered bruising but in his words "My wife suffered worse because she witnessed and remembers the aftermath".
My aim is to raise funds for his rehabilitation and help bring the family back together both mentally and physically.
Any amount of money how big or small would be much appreciated to bring some light into a dark situation.
I worked with Steve and he was one of kindest men you will come across, always wanting the best for his staff, he was a pleasure to be around.
His story was told on the BBC 2 documentary Hospital, which was aired on the 20th June 2017.
