Story
Phoebe’s Roundabout is our newly registered charity founded in memory of our beautful daughter Phoebe who lost her life suddenly aged 4 3/4 to the rare genetic disease LPIN1. Following her tragic death we crowdfunded to fund a memorial roundabout in her favourite park. This was opened on 17th December 2016, what would have been her 5th birthday and it brings joy to children every day. Now we want to turn our focus to the rare condition which robbed Phoebe if her life. There was no charity focussed on LPIN1 in the UK and only one research programme at the Necker Institute in Paris. We don‘t want another child to lose their life nor do we want their families to feel alone and unsupported so here it is Phoebe’s Roundabout! Its early days, the website isn‘t finished and the bank account forms only just posted but everything had to start somewhere and from small acorns and all that! Please help us get our journey off to a good start this Christmas . I‘ve been donating £2 to a different charity every day this advent and sharing on Instagram. If all my followers gave £2 to Phoebe’s Roundabout this Christmas that woukd be £582! 🙂🙂
