Pickles journey to Skiathos Dog Shelter has been anything but straightforward, and we are appealing for your support to help cover the costs of his treatment and rehabilitation so we can eventually find the forever family this gentle natured boy so richly deserves.

We started receiving reports of a dog needing help around the Bus Stop 3 area of town a few weeks before we actually found him tied to a tree, and this initially timid boy was finally bought to the safety of the Shelter.

Thankfully, his blood tests have revealed no infections or problems with his internal organs, but his Sarcoptic Mange is going to require a long course of treatment to bring this boy back to his former glory, which is a heavy cost the Shelter must carry.

Already, his sore and red skin is turning pinker, and the wounds are beginning to heal, and despite his treatment at the hands of people, he is responding to the efforts of the team at the Shelter and now experiencing human kindness for the first time in his life.
