Registered charity Holme Farm in Woodham (Registration #1197321) is an eight acre land with two disused buildings that belongs to DEFRA and has sat unused for decades. In November, a group won its campaign to lease the land and so began the ambitious plan to create a community asset like no other. The governing principles at the heart of this initiative are green and social prescribing, education and conservation.

Most importantly, the hub will allow people to reconnect with their community after two difficult years of enforced isolation and self-reliance and to rebuild their confidence. It will be a chance to celebrate this lovely little area of Surrey.

On Friday 22 April, Pippa Tucker-Brown (and her team hopefully) will be dancing from Dawn Chorus to Dusk to raise some much needed funds. “When I was 11 I won a disco dancing competition and I’ve never looked back since 😉,” said Pippa. “I‘ll be channelling my inner Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Agnetha and Anni-Frid on the night.. let‘s dance!”
