As a member of the local community, and as part of a local working group who are collaborating with fellow neighbours, community members and businesses, I am setting this page up on behalf of everyone, with the aim of generating funds to enable us to get professional support to object to the proposed development for Weybridge business park.

On Monday 23rd May 2022, Bridge Industrial submitted a planning application to demolish the existing 7 buildings that form the current Weybridge Business Park site, in order to construct a last mile logistic fulfilment centre, across 3 buildings. The main building will be 60ft in height and span nearly 18,000 sqm.

The proposed site will be operational 24/7, with 15 HGV loading bays,180 car parking spaces and 75 EV charging points, and will use the existing road infrastructure for access. The main access point to all 3 buildings will be via Addlestone Road.

The roads surrounding the proposed site are currently already under stress from traffic, this includes the A317, Weybridge Road, Hamm Moor Lane, Addlestone Road, Station Road and Church Street. This proposed development will see our local infrastructure endure further pressure and therefore have a significant impact on the local community.

The professional support we are looking to fund include a planning consultant and official road transport survey, this will strengthen the communities objections, highlighted via an independent party, that the current plans will have significant negative impact on the local community, and therefore, should be rejected.
