Everyone that knows Harry knows how much his life has been turned upside down. Harry was always out and about, here there and everywhere and did anything for anyone.

On the 24th January 2017 his life changed, a freak accident resulted in him accidentally swallowing drain cleaner and nearly killed him. Doctors fought to save his life and after suffering a stroke and multiple heart attacks was placed into a coma while he recovered.

His wife was by his side every day while fighting her own health battles. After close to a month of tears and prayers Harry miraculously woke up. Harry and his family were faced with an uncertain future not knowing if Harry would ever speak, eat or drink ever again.
Defying the odds, he overcame so many obstacles to be able to speak again, and even began eating soft liquified foods.

Complications began to arise and he was placed back on a strict nil by mouth routine. Multiple procedures were tried so that we could find out the extent of Harry's injuries, however his weak heart and the fact that his throat was closing made it very difficult to find out how badly he has been injured.

Harry is now home with his wife, but is practically housebound, he is on multiple medication and is currently being peg fed. While he feels stronger every day, doctors have told him due to his rapidly losing weight, he is getting weaker.

Harry has always been very independent and has struggled to get used to needing help daily. After being told Harry needs a life saving operation, his family and friends have decided to get together to arrange a fundraising account to send Harry on his dream trip of going to auschwitz, getting him a new mobility scooter, and anything else we can do to help Harry and his family's life a little easier while they go through this tough time.

Harry is a survivor, and has always done anything for anyone, now it's our turn to help him in any way we can.
