Weʼve raised £2,394 to Help fund our family wire dachshund who is very poorly. she needs an operation to take liver biopsy’s after being very poorly for 3 weeks

Story
Three weeks ago our family pet Doris the wire dachshund fell ill with a liver problem and couldnt stop being sick, wouldn't eat, suffering from jaundice and very lethargic. we’ve been under the care of Dick Whites in Newmarket who believe that something has poisioned her liver and they‘ve trialed her on meds and liver supports. Initially making an improvement, she then fell back down again and her bloods have massively raised liver enzymes, we‘ve put every penny we have into getting this far with money we had put by and our savings. They've advised the next step to be an operation to take liver biopsys and steriod treatment, but at an estimated cost of £4000 we just cant afford To do this. Which is where I'm seeking help from you guys to help our poorly Doris and restore our little family.

5 years agoWell today she’s gone for surgery. Liver looks good and gallbladder. But the bile duct had some hardening of the tissue around it caused by a nodule kinda growth. They’ve fitted her with a stent to open it up. But theres been some leakage of bile from where they took a biopsy of the hardened tissue so we gotta pray than it seals it’s self. The next 48hrs are vital. Fingers toes and everything possible crossed for my little Doris x

5 years agoA little update, We have Doris home for the weekend, she’s still very poorly, we having to give her like 5 different medicines and she has to go back In on Monday morning for blood tests and if possible her op on wed/Thurs 🤒🐾🐶. We have been completely blown away with how amazing people have been and the donations. Just reading thro all the comments and people’s generosity means so so much.
