The Project

Located in one remote corner of Africa, the Sachibondu Rural Health Centre is the only healthcare provision for tens of thousands of isolated people. The centre is being upgraded to a hospital to cope with demand. Our project is to deliver a 2-year programme that will provide training to all health workers at Sachibondu, with an emphasis on emergency medicine, improving the recognition and management of acutely unwell patients.

What the money will fund

Educational packages are created by staff and volunteers in Scotland, and also delivered on site in Zambia.

We are fundraising to cover:

- volunteers travel expenses

- costs of educational materials (stationery, books)

- basic medical equipment and instruments

Your help will make a difference and ensure more people in Zambia have access to high-quality health care.
