    Story

Yoga With Josie is holding a yoga workshop and gong sound bath to help raise money for the Palestine Trauma Centre (UK).

Video about the work of PTC

The Palestine Trauma Centre supports the most vulnerable children and families in Gaza many of whom have been deeply traumatised by the ongoing conflict and occupation. They are a team of mental health professionals working in a context where they are often experiencing the same hardship and traumas as those they are helping. With the threat of Covid and the deepening sense of hopelessness for a better future, more and more young people are choosing to take their own lives. Funding has become increasingly precarious and the centre is struggling to keep from closing.

    ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

EVERYONE IS WELCOME, including people new to yoga and sound meditation. Yoga will be lead by Josie Raison and the gong sound bath by Gordon Coxon.

    Date: Saturday 28th November 10am – 11.45am

Where: This workshop will take place via Zoom & You Tube

Suggested donation: £15 - or an amount you feel able to afford

You will experience an hour of yoga to help lift your spirits on our last weekend of lockdown (hopefully!). Josie will focus on breathing exercises and movement to help create energy, positivity, patience and understanding. And Gordon will guide you through 30 minutes of super relaxing and nourishing sound through the gong. All you need to do is lie down and listen!

Well, we have not only reached our target but exceeded it to a current total of £2,255 and some still to come! What an achievement! Thank you all so very much for your incredibly generous donations and coming to the workshop in support of the PTC in Gaza. Such a display of solidarity and connection, 65 of us moving in harmony to Josie's gentle yoga and bathing in the reverberations of Gordon's gong bath. My deep gratitude to them both for so generously offering their time and skills to us. With gratitude and warmth to you all, Belinda
