Weʼve raised £665 to To help Queens Parade News after being broken into again!

Funded on Friday, 30th November 2018

    Story

I have set this up to see if the community can come together and help out a local business woman, Jo of Queens Parade News. This year alone Jo has been broken into twice. Jo is always there for her customers and always goes the extra mile for them. She also raises huge amounts of money for charity, after the latest break in (in the early hours of Saturday 13th October) the thing that hurt her the most was the fact that the 3 charity tins had been stolen. Despite the fact her door was destroyed with their entry and the till area trashed. I just thought it would be nice to give something back to someone who does so much for everyone else. The money would be used to help with repairs to the shop and replace the charity money that was stolen. Any amount would help, thank you so much.

It gave me great pleasure to pass on the money that all you lovely people had donated. The final figure with the just giving charges deducted and the cash that Jo had been given added was £688.54. Thank you all.

Thank you all for your kind words and donations for Jo. I know Jo appreciates it and is grateful to each and everyone of you that has donated, shared the post or both! After speaking to Jo and I asked how much a new door was going to cost, she had a quote for over £800! These mindless criminals have no idea the effect they have on people for there actions or how much the repairs are going to cost! So nice to see the community coming together, your help will make such a big difference to a small business, so Thank you again!

Wow you are all amazing, thank you so much. If we go over target then please don't let it stop you donating. Any extra money will all go to help Jo with repairs and to the charities that Jo supports with the help of her lovely customers.
