Hi Friends!

I'm Rubyyy Jones and I run the premier Queerlesque Course in the worrrlllddd! And I would love to be able to offer two community funded scholarships for my next course, so that a creative queer can get the support and training they need to step into themselves further but also to step forward as a professional artist.

My course's focus is essentially modern burlesque theatre with a queer heart beat! My students are trans, POC, inclusive feminists, non binaryyy, they are allies and activists. The course is 6 sessions, 5 subsequent, which give the students tools, exercises and inspiration for developing or developing further their persona or characters. The course culminates in a fabulous showcase which is a celebration as well as a scratch night! Really a chance for feedback, further engagement/education but also to present themselves and their new pieces with pride!

As a creative queer myself, I cannot at this time afford to offer the spaces myself but I also think it would send a strong message of love from our community to them! And what a beautiful thing that is!
