My grandad was a war veteran who was awarded the kings badge. Unfortunatly 5 weeks to the day of his 100th birthday he passed away piecefully surrounded by his close family, of pheumonia. My grandad lived a very busy abd funfilled life helping his family where he could but at the age of 97 he lost his only daughter very suddenly and relied on me his grandaughter to take care of him as best as i could.. Unfortunatly he had a sroke which caused him to have to move into residential care home. Which was very strange for a strong independant proud man. He made some strong bonds with other residents and staff, telling them all his storys of being in the war and his life as a bulider after leaving the royal marines due to standing to close to a land mine making him deaf for the rest of his life. Never did he moan or complain he got on with life with his wife who sadly past 16 years ago his one and only love. Then just 4 years ago he lost his only child at 65. He lived every day for me and my childten. He called me his hero this was not the case he was the most wonderful man i have ever had in my life. Now to show how much he meant to us i would like to let him rest in piece and give him the hero funeral he deserves. surrounded by the marines his friends and family. Unfortunatly my grandad had no estate so i need to raise as much money as i can to give him his special send off. Every person that met him fell in love with his cockney charm and colourful lanuage please help if you can its been two weeks since he passed abd we are no closer to laying him to rest.
