So call us crazy but we will be rowing the Great River Race on the 9th September. This is a 21.6 mile row. So we have decided to do a bit of fund raising while out rowing the GRR. We are raising money for the RNLI and Newhaven Gig Rowing Club.

The RNLI save lives by providing a 24-hour lifeboat search and rescue service, seasonal lifeguards, water safety education and initiatives, and flood rescue response.

Newhaven Gig Rowing Club is a growing club who supports the local community. The club gets different people out on the river and out to sea while exercising in the most amazing way.

We feel they both do an amazing service to the local community. While the RNLI help keep us safe and deal with incidents (there have been a lot lately), NGRC is helping spread the word of safety at sea and helps raise money for the local community. They have already raised money for the RNLI and hope to keep this going.
