Hi everyone!

This Summer I will be travelling to Africa- specifically South Africa, Swaziland and Mozambique- with the VESA organisation for three weeks. VESA (Volunteer Eco Students Abroad) aims to help communities and recruits student volunteers to assist them in conservation work not only in Africa, but also in Laos, the Amazon and Fiji. On the trip I will be staying with a community and will have the opportunity to undertake work such as constructing buildings in the town, teaching the children there and working on the animal sanctuary in the area, before a week of exploring the area along with my fellow volunteers.

This trip will be one in a lifetime and I cannot wait to get out there and to help the communities. However as VESA is a volunteer organisation the costs of the trip have to be funded by the individual. I've managed to convince my dad (just!) to accompany me up the Yorkshire Three Peaks on the 8th/9th July to help raise money for the trip. If you are at all able to donate it would be very much appreciated and I would be incredibly grateful for your help!
