Lea Rowing Club

Lea Rowing club is an community club in Hackney. The Junior section is supported by an amazing team of coaches who volunteer hours of their evenings and weekends coaching kids from the area. The club has done extremely well, and this year alone has coached 6 under 18s girls who have now been selected to row for GB juniors. They are rowing in old boats, which were very kindly donated some years ago, but are now old and beyond repair. The club is now trying to raise money to buy a new Eight boat, which will allow them to race competitively with other crews. A new boat costs close to £30k.

The junior girls are doing a series of sponsored rows to raise money for the boat, and if you were able to make any contribution to their efforts this would be hugely appreciated.

Anna has been rowing with Lea for the last 2 years and it has been a fantastic experience for her. She is hoping to do the equivalent of a channel crossing as part of this fundraising event with her crew.
