H is 15 and has autism and a number of other diagnoses. She has been successfully home educated for two and a half years after her secondary school placement broke down. H is thriving because of home ed and when our local authority were transferring her statement to an EHCP we asked them to support our home ed program. They have completely failed H in every respect since we started to ask them for help in 2013 and they have failed her again now. Her EHCP is not fit for purpose and they have decided to restart the whole process. In a mediation meeting they insisted that H needs to be re assessed by an educational psychologist despite them originally agreeing to use a previously commissioned independent report and they agreed that H needs to be assessed by a specialist. A week later they offered to send a generic educational psychologist to assess H. We believe that H should be assessed by an expert now. She has been let down so many times by so called professionals and we can't allow that to happen again.

We have found an expert who can assess H and write a report detailing her needs correctly but because I am no longer able to work while home educating H we dont have enough money to pay her.

We find it really difficult to ask for help and have always met H's needs ourselves but we are currently running her home ed program including paying for tutors and her music on her DLA.
