    Story

The four of us are running the Bamburgh Half Marathon in support of Rainbow of Hope Children's Charity. Please help us support this amazing charity and help them continue to give the kids the support they deserve!

Rainbow of Hope is a place of safety for abused, abandoned and neglected children. There are children there of all ages who have been through experiences that no child should have to suffer. Alison Alexander, the charity's founder, provides the children with the love and support required as they look to build a future for themselves. The kids are given an education, counselling and a range of life skills to make all of this possible. This is more than a charity though, the children there are a family and this is their home until they are 18. Despite already doing so much for the kids, the charity, and Alison, want to do more!

Statisitics say that 8 out of 10 children who grew up in care will end up in a shelter in adult life. To prevent this happening to the kids at Rainbow House, the charity are now looking to continue their support by funding a second home for the children to live in once they are aged 18+.

You can find out much more about the charity and see pictures of the amazing things they do here and find out more about the specifics of the project here .
