Hey everybody!!!!

My names Emma.

I work on the Emergency Assessment Unit at Russells Hall Hospital.

On Sunday 2nd of July members of the EAU team will be doing a sponsored walk to raise money for the unit.

If anyone has been unfortunate enough to require the services of EAU you'll see how busy it gets.

As far as the team go we are one of the best, and we try our very, very hardest to get patient's home, or onto a ward as fast as humanly possible. Unfortunately, that isn't as fast as anyone would like it, and the wait can be long and tedious at times.

The cubicles on the unit have no windows, and therefore (as I'm sure some of you will know) it gets hot! The wait is also boring (trust us, we hate this for you as much as you do - we really do want what's best for you all!!)

Any money raised from the walk will be put towards new fans, radios and t.v's for the patients use, to try and make their stay on the unit as comfortable as possible.

We would greatly appreciate any donations made to help make this happen.
If there is anyone out there who would like to donate anything we need instead of money that would be amazing!!!

Any electrical items must be in packaging and would need to be pat tested by the hospital (patient safety!!) -- but we would LOVE the gesture.

We will be starting at the Corn Exchange early afternoon.. then rattling our buckets at every pub along the delph run - so have your change at the ready!!

Hopefully we'll have a great walk, the sun will shine and everyone will be feeling generous.
