    Story

Here is an excerpt of the full story which can be found at
    https://lovingflave.wordpress.com/2016/07/14/my-story/

"I remember feeling like I was disgusting. I felt that I had let my Mum down and thought that if she ever found out about this she would be so disappointed in me and all the lovely things that we had done together in the past would just disappear. I wanted to keep that loving relationship with my mum so I did everything I could to prevent her ever finding out the truth about what her precious daughter was really like.
What happens next to girl’s who have gone through an experience like this is one of two things. They either abstain from sexual activities or go the other way and have many meaningless sexual encounters. I did the latter. The reason for this, as I found out during my year of counseling at RASASC, is that when we experience an event that is too traumatic for us to deal with, our brain tells us that this is acceptable behavior. It is a coping mechanism. It’s far easier to accept that this behavior is normal, than the reality of accepting that you are being raped or abused. The brain chooses the least painful option. That is great for coping with the situation, but if you do not get help and deal with the problem, you will go on for the rest of your life believing that this is how you should be treated. I am finally free of the prison of my mind caused by this horrific event. I will never forget it and I still feel sad for the little girl that went through years of hating herself for something that was not her fault, but I love that little girl and I want her to have the life and love she deserves.
Thanks to RASASC for giving me my life back. Raising £5,000
Please help me by donating and sharing with your friends and family. I know it is a lot of money to raise and every single donation will mean so much."

I am pleased to say that I have already raised £135 towards my target. As these Crowdfunding pages are only live for 30 days, I have had to start another one. A donation of any amount will be extremely appreciated as helping one life can affect so many others.

After one year of counselling by a RASASC counsellor, I can't believe how much my life has changed. I feel free of my demons, I have life in perspective, I have learned to love myself. Life is amazing. I want to be able to give the gift of life back to another victim.
