Story
In the UK our children are privileged to have superb resources, teachers and facilities to aid their education. I have won a place after application and interview to travel to Rwanda to help teachers through a LRTT (Limited Resource Teacher Training) fellowship.
LRTT is a social enterprise founded in 2012. They seek to up-skill and energise teaching communities across the world. My fellowship will see me become an educational mentor to teachers in limited resource contexts. My aim is to do the upmost to make a difference in the few weeks I am there to create a parallel, powerful experience.
The reason why I have excitedly accepted the opportunity in Rwanda is teaching in the UK is phenomenal, to see the benefits students reap, to feel the 'light bulb moment is an honoured sense of satisfaction, which I want to help others gain in a country ravaged by a manner of influences. Not only will Rwanda benefit but I will benefit from the experience to improve and challenge current practices.
I believe this is an excellent opportunity to bring Rwandan teachers together who are passionate about education to ignite flair for teachers and pupils to invigorate a positive, educational experience.
To make this happen I need your help to cover the programme costs, flights and resources to supplement. Any donations will be superb to benefit the teachers, sons and daughters in Rwanda.
Thank you, Scott.

I have been teaching for nearly 5 years. I have a belief that every child deserves a good education and as a teacher I can help. Not only that but I will be able to take things from the experience for my own classroom. For this I am honoured to be involved in this opportunity.
