Story
Reay Area Windfarm Opposition Group was set up to fight the proliferation of wind farm applications in the Reay and west Caithness area. We successfully raised funds to engage professional experts to represent us at the Public Inquiry for the Limekiln Windfarm in 2014.
Our efforts were successful and the application was refused by Scottish government. Unfortunately the developers - Infinergy - don't seem to accept what "NO" means and have submitted the application again. This means we again need to ask those who wish to preserve our landscape, for donations to support the cause.
We have a very dedicated group of volunteers doing all we can to fight the might of the wind industry, but we have no planning or technical experts to professionally represent our case. It really makes a difference to have an expert on hand, and hope we can cover this through donations from supporters.
Any donation is greatly appreciated - small donations all add up and really make a difference. Funds raised will also go towards fighting the Drumhollistan Windfarm which we expect to go to planning shortly.
Donations raised will be paid into the RAWOG bank account. Full accounts are published annually at our AGM.
Thanks very much for reading and hopefully for your support.

8 years agoA final thank you to everyone who has donated via the crowdfunding page. The page is now closed, however donations can still be made through the RAWOG website or directly to any committee member. We have been able to cover the initial costs of our Planning expert and are now embarking on further fundraising activities to cover the costs of being represented at Public Inquiry. We will also be peparing for the next stages of the campaign against the Drumhollistan windfarm. Thanks again for your support. RAWOG Committee
