    Story

    Lombok Earthquake Disaster Relief

Lombok has been hit by a second, more dangerous, earthquake on Sunday 5th August, which has destroyed/damaged homes, taken lives and injured many people. The local community of Masbagik are currently living in a refugee camp with very little. My tour guide from my recent trip (last week) to Lombok has asked for help for essential supplies and to rebuild the community. The money will go directly to the community and not through any third party, so you can guarantee the money will be used where it's needed. Photos/videos will be sent from my guide (who is now a friend), to keep us updated with where the money is being spent.

We are at 83% of our target! That's amazing and thank you all so much for your donations. Yan sent this update: 'Hi Beck, thank you for all your help so far. Yesterday when I went to the worst affected place, then it was deeply sad when some refugees come away to us then our logistic was finished, we planned to go to the camp again on next Thursday while we find the way to entertain the children's and give them the healing therapy.'

Having recently visited this Community only last week, I'd like to help the people rebuild their homes and their lives. They were so welcoming to us into their community and we became friends with our guide and his family. They are genuine, kind & caring people who need our help
