Just when we thought that Sam was beginning to recover following two emergency operations in July 2016, which saw the remainder of her ruptured Appendix, Sepsis and a large part of her Colon removed, came the devastating blow;

On Monday 8th August 2016, 35 year old Sam, a caring Mother to two young boys was dealt her unexpected diagnosis; Stage 4 Incurable Metastatic Colon Cancer.

Sadly, since her diagnosis, she has repeatedly been dealt further bad news with Secondary cancers in her Pelvis/Urethra, Lungs, Sigmoid Colon and most recently Rectum. Despite this Sam’s desire for life along with her positive, brave and determined attitude continues to shine. She never ceases to amaze everyone she knows with her phenomenal fighting spirit.

Sam has endured 29 cycles of chemotherapy but following a hospital stay in January of this year where she was treated for Neutropenic Sepsis, she was advised that her body was too weak to endure any more chemotherapy. After a consultation with a private specialist however, we have been advised of a drug that isn’t available on the NHS which could help to prolong her life so we’re currently trying to raise funds to cover this. Finding Sam the best treatment available is imperative. We hope this will also allow Sam to spend valuable time with her loved ones.
